I value your privacy. Here you will find what information is collected from you, why it is collected and who has access to it, how it is collected, how long it is kept and how it is destroyed.

  1. What Personal Data is collected? Personal Data includes the Clients name, telephone number, email address and home address. Transactional Data will only be collected where a refund is due. Form contacts are also stored and include personal data. Location information. The website may determine the approximate location of your device from your IP address. Collection and use of this information is, for example, to calculate how many people visit our Services from certain geographic regions. This website also uses cookies.
  2. Why is this data collected and who has access to it? Personal Data collected is solely for the purpose of effectively providing the Wedding Planning service to the Client and for communication with you. The Planner has access to the data. Cookies are there to provide a smooth experience on this website.
  3. How is information shared? By entering into a Contract you agree to the sharing of this data with suppliers for the Wedding Day. This is legitimate interest so that suppliers can offer the right services. Information about you may be disclosed in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request.
  4. How is the data collected? This website has a web form for enquiring the Planner’s availability where you provide information to me with your own consent. Location information is collected by the website automatically. Cookies are automatic, but you can choose to opt in our out.
  5. How long is this data kept. The Contact and Contract details will be stored for up to 5 years after the 31 January submission deadline of the relevant tax year. VAT records will be stored for 6 years. Planning notes and wedding details will be stored for up to 2 years. The Client may, at any time, request the deletion or correction of their data. Photographs that are agreed for promotional and advertisement material may be stored for an unlimited amount of time, for example as a website background or until the Client requests the deletion of said material. Location data is only stored by the website for approximately 30 days. Cookies are stored for 1 week, but you have the option to revoke the consent.
  6. Security. While no online service is 100% secure, I take extra care with information about you against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction, and take reasonable measures to do so. I use a trustworthy website provider, I access information on secure wifi and I secure any notes with me or in a secure location.
  7. How is information destroyed? All digital information will be deleted. Any hand written notes will be shredded.
  8. What if you want your information deleted sooner? You can request earlier deletion of your information by emailing me directly. Receipt of your email will be confirmed by an acknowledgment email after which your information will be deleted immediately.
  9. Your rights. If you are located in certain parts of the world, including countries that fall under the scope of the European General Data Protection Regulation (aka the “GDPR”), you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, like the right to request access to or deletion of your data.

  10. Privacy Policy Changes. Although most changes are likely to be minor, Garnet Weddings Ltd may change its Privacy Policy from time to time. Garnet Weddings Ltd encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the change log below, and, in some cases, we may provide additional notice (like adding a statement to our homepage or sending you a notification through email). Your further use of the Services after a change to our Privacy Policy will be subject to the updated policy.
