Hi!

I am Teea, the Director at Garnet Weddings Ltd.

My passion is in helping you to have your dream wedding the way you want it to be. Why is that so important to me though? I am an alternative person myself loving metal music and fantasy books, enjoying the gothic subgenre & aesthetics and being nerdy with videogames, manga and anime. I've never belonged to the "mainstream" and feel a close bond to fellow alternative people. I am happy to plan a more "traditional" wedding or a wedding with best of both worlds too though. This is an inclusive space as well so please do not be afraid to be you.

Fun facts about me:

• I used to play drums in a metal band.
• I love The Mortal Instruments books, but I really dislike the TV series.
• I usually dress in black, but you may find an odd pop of colour here and there.
• I have my coffee black, no sugar
• I love cats, but I'm badly allergic to them.

Now, back to wedding planning. Planning my own wedding after my husband’s proposal raised a problem: weddings are very white and formal. I tackled the issue for our wedding and that is where I had my light bulb moment. “I want to help others do this their way too!”

Our wedding was my dream day! I planned our day with a passion to make it different from the mainstream social media image of a wedding. Old stone manor venue, black/white/red colour theme, black and white wedding cake, bespoke dress to match the colour theme, AXE THROWING with viking battle music, professional photographer and the rest.

After our wedding I started building my own business: Garnet Weddings Ltd. I have a Tourism and Hospitality Management degree and a background in various customer service roles such as a hotel & pub/restaurant duty manager. All of my experiences build who I am as a wedding planner. I know the behind the scenes like my pockets so you are indeed in safe hands!

My goal is to make your wedding day purely about what you want it to be. I am not giving you one mold, not even one theme! What is YOUR wedding like? There are many ways of being "alternative". Define it to me and I’ll find the best way to bring your personality out during the big day.
